Progress Update

As you may or may not have noticed, Greyhack's demo pdf has been updated a couple of times. I've finally resumed work, since I recently finished publishing my first book (unrelated to this project, it's a book of poetry, still, very stoked it's done now).

I've had a lot of time to think, and have honed in on the main focus on the game to create a more cohesive flavour as well as a core gameplay concept to tie the various mechanics together: the Wyrd die. To reflect this, I've added the subtitle "Wyrd Adventures Unchained," and while we already had a Wyrd die-oriented class (The Mad), I've also added a few more character options, like the Drangue and Wyrdling, that are essentially additional traits you can add to your normal ancestry, in exchange for some drawbacks.

I've also revised the magick system a little bit, giving Sages an option to select Spell Components, i.e. properties of spells that can be combined to create various effects, in addition to Singular Spells, which function the way you'd normally expect.

I've refined the monster rules a little bit, and added a table of sample monsters, and finished the current version off with a list of sample characters.

Next I plan to focus on the GM's side of the game. I want to create a lot of tools for the GM to generate and arbitrate content using Usage and Wyrd dice, as well as your usual fare of random tables and the like.

Lastly I'm planning to add heaps of appendices with campaign info, some more detailed ancestry and monster descriptions, as well as other fluff.

It's a bit early for new years resolutions, but I plan to finish the game next year, so I hope you'll be looking forward to it.

In the meantime, however, the "playtest" phase is still "ongoing", so I hope some people will be interested to try it out for themselves and provide some feedback. Feel free to join our Telegram and/or discord channel, as well.

Until then, I'd obviously like to wish everyone happy holidays!
